Abstract
Rolling gestures on a touch sensitive surface of a device can be used to control the device or to remotely control another device. The device detects a roll (810), determines a parameter of the roll (815) and performs an operation relating to the device or the other device based on the determined parameter (820). The touch sensitive surface of the device can be positioned on the device to enable a set of gestures for configuring the operation of the device, for operating the device and for enabling additional gestures for operating the device.
